An Overview of the Schedule

Day Trips - Saturday, March 3rd, Sunday March 4th  :
 6:00 am departure in a 15 passenger van or coach bus from one of our 2 designated departure locations in Manhattan. Upon arrival at the slopes staff make sure all skiers have the appropriate gear and then hit the slopes for a day of skiing with a break for lunch. The vans will depart from the mountain at 4:30pm and will make a stop for dinner on the way home. Anticipated arrival home - 8:00pm.

Who will be supervising the trip?
Our ski and snowboard trips will meet the same standard of supervision, safety and quality that you are familiar with at our After School Program and Summer Camp. Along with Peter, Corbin's Crusaders will be sending your favorite counselors to accompany the trip., and will maintain a minimum of 8:1 ratio of campers to staff.

What do the trip fees include?
Transportation:
Video equipped coach bus for Overnight Trips and 15 passenger busses for Day Trips.

Meals:
All meals are included in the trip though participants may bring money for additional lunch options at the mountain.

Lift Tickets:
Each trip includes the cost of the lift tickets.

Rentals:
The cost of equipment rentals is NOT covered, children renting equipment will be charged an additional $40 per day.

What is the extent of the lessons?
Certified ski and snowboard instructors from Hunter and Jiminy Peak Mountain will instruct all lessons. Lessons will be either a half day or full day. We strongly feel that everyone, regardless of ability, will benefit from lessons.

What happens if there is an accident?
The Corbin's Crusaders staff will be in radio contact with the Mountain Ski Patrol. If one of our participants in injured, we will be notified immediately. If the injury requires a Hospital visit, we will use the Local Medical Center.

What happens if my child's skis/snowboard are lost or stolen?
We recommend participants bring a ski lock; the Kryptonite Ski & Snowboard Lock" is an excellent compact, inexpensive lock. Corbin's Crusaders cannot be responsible for lost or stolen gear.

Is there unsupervised time?
Participants will be supervised throughout the trip. During free time at the Lodge, staff will be on duty throughout the building. In the afternoons, at the ski area, participants under 12 years of age will be required to ski with a Corin's Crusaders staff member. Children ages 12 and up must ski in groups.
